The Atom No.3 Mustangs went undefeated at the Kyla Kowalik Memorial Tournament to win the tournament gold medal on the weekend in Wilmot.
Game One of the tournament earned the Mustangs their first win of the tournament, over Stratford 8-1, and pumped up the girls for the rest of the event.
Points earned included: Bryanna Ferguson (2 goals, 2 assists), Presley DeGraeve (1,1), Natalie Beilhartz (4 goals), Jaxon Castellan (1 goal), and Jessica Billings (2 assists).
Game Two was a convincing win over the Wilmot No.2 team by a final score of 9-1. Points were earned as follows:
Presley DeGraeve (3 goals - her first ever hat trick), Jessica Billings (2 goals), Natalie Beilhartz (2,1), Natalie Ziolkoski (1,1), Zoey Rooney (2 assists), Rachel Patterson (2 assists), Jaxon Castellan (1 asst), Karla McKerracher (1 asisst), Bryanna Ferguson (1,1).
GameThree was a semi-final win over the Stratford team, final score 9-1. Points were earned as follows: Bryanna Ferguson (5 goals, 2 assists), Zoey Rooney (1,1 - her first goal of the season), Natalie Ziolkoski (1,1), Natalie Beilhartz (1 goal), Presley DeGraeve (1,1), Rachel Patterson (2 assts), and Jaxon Castellan (1 assist).
That put the Mustangs into the gold medal game, in which they shut out the Waterloo Ravens 2-0.
This was probably the fastest paced game the girls have played to date. Two quick goals at the beginning of the game, and they had to fight hard to maintain their win.

In the Atom skills competition, Jenna Landry won the Top Goaltender Award.
