On Saturday, August 28, 2010 at 11 p.m. Evelyn passed away at her daughter’s home in Thornhill, Ontario. She was a long time resident of Salem, Ontario. Predeceased by her beloved husband, Bill Avruskin and sister Ruth Borovoy. Loving mother of Gay and Michael and mother-in-law to Jayne. Devoted grandmother of Ruth-Anne. Dear sister-in-law to Belle Ginsberg and Isabel Schwartz. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services were held on Monday, Aug. 30 at Dawes Road Cemetery, Toronto. Memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.

Passed away peacefully at Groves Memorial Community Hospital on September 3, 2010 in his 94th year. Loving husband of Dora. Dear father of John and grandfather of Rita. Fondly remembered by his siblings Reg, Susie (Todd) and Burt. Will be missed by his faithful furry companion, Benji.  Resting at the Thomson Funeral Home, Fergus. Passed away on August 29th, 2010 at the age of 80 years.  Wife of John (Jack) H. Rogers for 62 years. Remembered by her children Barbara Rogers, Karen (Ross) Perry and Earl (Debra) Rogers.
