Hallman, Ronald Cecil
Passed away peacefully at Caressant Care, Fergus on Friday August 27, 2010, at the age of 75. Beloved husband to Shirley for 56 years. Will be lovingly remembered by his son Bill and his wife Jessica Hallman of Waterdown. Special Grandpa to Kyle and Alexis and another one on the way. Remembered by his sister Dianne (Fred) Hoehn. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Cecil and Mabel and brother Bill. Ron and Shirley came to Fergus in 1962 and owned and operated Hallman’s Family Shoes for 30 years. Ron participated in the community for many years as a School Board Trustee, in the Fergus Lions Club, Fergus Rotary Club, as a director for the Centre Wellington Hydro and served on Township council for seven years. Friends may visit with the family at the GRAHAM A. GIDDY FUNERAL HOME AND CHAPEL, 280 St. David St. S. Fergus, on Monday, Aug. 30 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Tuesday, Aug. 31 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. A funeral service will be held at Melville United Church, 300 St. Andrew Street West, Fergus on Wednesday, Sept. 1st at 11 a.m . After a short illness in Fergus, Ontario at the age of 76. Much loved Mom to David, Bruce (Karen) and Ian Robertson and Jeanne (Andrew) Dalton. Nan to Christopher, Tom, Michael, Kelsey, Norman, Gary, Jackie, Stephanie, Nicolas and Jennifer. Remembered by her brothers Bob and Dick McLachlan. Will always be remembered by William Robertson. Predeceased by her sister Susan Kilborn. Thanks Mom for all the laughs and all the love. We will miss you always. Passed away peacefully on August 28th, 2010 at the Alexander Hospital in Ingersoll, 15 days short of her 95th birthday. Predeceased by her husband John (1997). Dear mother to Frances Mary (Don Harrington) Coombs, Jane Anne (Charlie) Szturm and Anne Marie (Kim) Mountain. Special Gram to Jennifer (Eric), Patrick (Shasta), Carolyn, Jana (Miguel) and Tanya (Brad). Beloved great grandmother to Dario, Zaiven, Delaney and Fransz. Survived by sisters Mary Hall and Roselyn Casey. Predeceased by six siblings. Madeline was a lifetime member of the CWL in both Milton and Elora, and a dedicated lifetime volunteer with many organizations. Friends will be received at the Graham A.
