County slows down library building program
The funding for future library projects - including possible renovations to the Fergus library branch - has been pushed further into the future by Wellington County council.
Councillors endorsed Mapleton Ward Councillor Carl Hall's suggestion Jan. 28 to spread funding for library projects in Harriston, Puslinch and Centre Wellington over five years rather than three.
The move, voted in during a short discussion on the 2010 budget, doesn't affect the budget, but will impact the county's five-year financial plan.
