Emily Paige McNabb

(March 2, 2008 – January 23, 2010)

Our beautiful angel received her wings January 23, 2010 while resting peacefully at Guelph General Hospital with Mommy and Daddy by her side. Parents Adam and Susan McNabb could not be more proud of their baby girl who fought Spinal Muscular Atrophy with vigour and courage with every breath.  Emily is and always will be a big sister to her baby brother Aubrey, whom she loved very much.  She will be greatly missed by her grandparents Peter and Mary McNabb, Joan Hamilton of Guelph, and (the old Man) George Howlett of Elora, Aunt Kate and Uncle Chris and cousin “Nubby” Fiona, of NFLD, Aunt Janet and Uncle Andrew, and her cousins and best friends – Aiden and Rachel of Elora. Emily has touched the lives of so many people and we know she will live forever in our hearts. Resting at the Gilbert MacIntyre and Son Funeral Home, “Hart Chapel”, 1099 Gordon Street, Guelph where a Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28 in the funeral home chapel at 11 a.m.  A private burial to be held at Woodlawn Memorial Park. ROBERTS, John Llewellyn

Suddenly at his home in Freelton on Thursday, January 21, 2010, after a short illness, in his 69th year. Beloved husband of Barbara Karen (Walkey) Roberts and devoted father of John Harvey Bisset Roberts and his wife Joanne, and Pamela Louise McDonald and her husband Norm.  Grandfather of Brooke, Sydney, Brett, Zachary and Tyler. Brother of Bernice Witt of Kingsville and brother-in-law of Jack Walkey and his wife Barb of Fergus. Survived by many nieces and nephews and will be missed by many loving friends and former students. The family will receive visitors at KITCHING, STEEPE & LUDWIG FUNERAL HOME, 146 Mill Street North, Waterdown on Saturday, Jan. 23  from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, Jan. 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Private family services to follow with Memorial Service at a later date. WATSON, Ethel Lavinia

 

Suddenly at Guelph General Hospital on January 21, 2010, after a brief illness. Ethel in her 90th year, passed away peacefully with her family by her side.  Predeceased by her husband Dave (1996). Survived by her children George (Linda) Watson, Marg (Bill) Rooney, Carrie (Lorne) Osburn, Bob (Sharon) Watson and grandchildren Mike and Dave, Terry (June), Gail (Janet), Lloyd, Ryan (Kaileigh), Amy (Jamie), Krista (Chris), Becky (Jeremy), Brandon. Great grandchildren Holly, Cameron, Makaila, Andrew and Alana.  She is predeceased by her son in-law Harry Simpson (1989) and daughter in-law Shirley Watson ( 2007). Ethel was a very active member at the Fergus Legion Br #275. She enjoyed her family to its fullest, her card games and bingo, and she even partook in singing karaoke at the Legion. Friends will be received at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral & Chapel, 280 St. David St. South in Fergus, on Sunday, Jan. 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a Legion service at 6:45 p.m.  A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel on Monday, Jan. 25 at 2 p.m. Interment to take place in the Spring at Huxley Cemetery in Hillsburgh.  Memorial donations in Ethel’s memory can be directed to the Fergus Royal Canadian Legion Br #275.
