Seven members of the Harris Collective group of artists opened their new show and sale of artwork in the Harris Room at the Elora Centre for the Arts on the weekend. Encaustic artist Jane Longman (second from left) talks to a group of gallery visitors during the Sunday afternoon opening. The collective has reorganized in the gallery space, and will rotate groups of artists every six weeks, with some time set aside for communal group shows as well. About 30 area artists, most from Centre Wellington, are part of the collective, and it includes painters, potters, jewellers, photographers and other artists. The "Seven by Seven" group show features Carla Drimmie, Dick Marvin, Jane Longman, Jean Loney, Mary Helps, Sylvia Galbraith, and Willow Hobson.
